Up Your Media has been serving the Parksville and Qualicum Beach area as a local Apple technology specialist since 2009.

In 2022, Robert Van De Weghe joined the team, bringing decades of experience in Apple support, computer repair, networking, and technical troubleshooting. Robert has worked with Apple computers professionally since 1998 and has extensive experience supporting Mac hardware, macOS, software, and business IT systems.

Before joining Up Your Media, Robert spent 13 years as IT Manager for Rethink, one of Canada’s leading independent creative agencies.

Dan’s Apple Story

Like most longtime technology professionals, Dan remembers exactly where it all started.

“I first worked on a Mac Classic II while attending recording school in 1992–93. In 1994, I bought my first Mac of my own, a Mac LC 475 with a colour display, 4 MB of RAM and an 80 MB hard drive. That same year, I built my first website for a Vancouver rock band. I’ve been working with Macs, websites and technology ever since.”

Dan’s involvement with the local Apple community was also featured in the Parksville Qualicum Beach News, which highlighted the Parksville Qualicum Beach Mac Users Group and its role in bringing together Apple users of all experience levels to share knowledge and learn from one another.
